Seventeen-year-old Meg Fellowes is a wry, resourceful thief forced to join an elite group of female spies in Queen Elizabeth’s Court. There she must solve a murder, save the Crown, and resist the one thing that will become her greatest freedom–and her deadliest peril.
For Meg and her fellow spies are not alone in their pursuit of the murderer who stalks Windsor Castle. A young, mysterious Spanish courtier, Count Rafe de Martine, appears at every turn in the dark and scandal-filled corridors of the Queen’s summer palace. And though secrets and danger are Meg’s stock-in-trade, she’s never bargained on falling in love… |
I'm so excited for these two! Despite the cheesy title MAID OF SECRETS sounds like a really fun read and I love books set in court (any court, any place)! I can't wait to see the cover.
What are you waiting on this week? Link me because I'd love to see!
I love historicals, so Maid of Secrets sounds fascinating, I am so looking forward to all the intrigue! What Happens Next looks interesting, I want to pick it up because the blurb doesn't give much away!
ReplyDeleteMy WOW
I like the sound of Maid of Secrets, the first one I think I'd wait to see some reviews for, but then again I'm someone who only picks up contemporary novels once in a while...of if someone else recommends them to me as must must must reads :)

This one sounds pretty good! I hadn't heard of it until now. I really like the cover though. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
I still can't decide if I want to read What Happens Next. Ironically, I love history, but I don't read that many historical novels, I just don't get through them very quickly. Great picks, L! :)
ReplyDeleteOoooh, thanks for sharing! I have not heard of What Happens Next but I have added it to my to-read list as well!
ReplyDeleteOoooo. Maid of Secrets looks good. Thanks for sharing, Lauren!

Great choices! I believe both of these are on my own Wish List - especially What Happens Next. I really love stories about court life, too, especially if they're not the same old-same old.
